About this event

"Changgyeonggung Palace Night Banquet (Yayeon)" is a family-friendly nighttime royal banquet program that modernly reinterprets the banquet of deep filial piety that Crown Prince Hyomyeong offered to his father, King Sunjo. Participants become civil and military officials or royal women of the Joseon Dynasty, dress in royal attire, participate in the banquet, taste royal snacks with their families, watch traditional performances, and participate in various traditional experience programs. In 2026, it will be held for a total of 20 days: the first half from May 7 (Thu) to May 17 (Sun) and the second half from September 24 (Thu) to October 4 (Sun). During Parents' Day and the Chuseok holiday, you can record beautiful times while walking through the palace nights with your beloved family. * Excludes Changgyeonggung Palace closing day Sep 28 (Mon) 1. Paid Experience Participants: Participate in the royal banquet as Joseon civil/military officials or royal women - View royal banquet, wear royal attire, makeup, royal snack experience, filial piety (hyo) experience, photography (solo/family), etc. 2. Accompanying Family: Participate in the banquet and experience programs with the paid participant - View royal banquet, royal snack experience, writing letters to parents, filial piety (hyo) experience, family photo and video filming, etc. 3. On-site Spectators (Free): View the reproduction of the Joseon royal banquet from a modern perspective and participate in side events - View royal banquet (first-come, first-served / limited seating), use some filial piety (hyo) experiences and photo zones
