About this event

Embodying the value of Mt. Geumjeongsan, newly designated as a National Park in 2026, the 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Festival will be held over 3 days from October 16 (Fri) to October 18 (Sun) at Geumjeongsanseong Plaza and around Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. Based on Geumjeongsanseong Fortress—a representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and Korea's largest mountain fortress—and Mt. Geumjeongsan National Park, this history, culture, and arts festival is held annually to commemorate the construction of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. Continuing from the Geumjeong Arts Festival that started in 1996, this year's festival showcases Geumjeong's new charms through diverse programs combining the ecology and nature of Mt. Geumjeongsan National Park with the history and culture of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. 1. Ecological Programs - Walking Event: A walking program combining storytelling of Geumjeongsan's nature and Geumjeongsanseong's history - Geumjeongsan Eco Tour: An eco-exploration program exploring organisms living on Mt. Geumjeongsan with a professional commentator - Theme Exhibition: Outdoor exhibition highlighting the designation of Mt. Geumjeongsan National Park and the value of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress - Geumjeongsan Talk Show: Ecological stories of Mt. Geumjeongsan National Park delivered by celebrities - Other ecological programs, etc. 2.
