About this event

Hamyang wild ginseng grown in germanium soil at elevations above 500m features dense, firm tissue and high saponin content, earning it a reputation as luxury wild ginseng. Hamyang implemented the nation's first wild ginseng traceability system so consumers can accurately know production information, maintaining differentiated characteristics as luxury ginseng through continuous quality management by wild ginseng guardians. Held at Hamyang Sangrim Park (Natural Monument No. 154) where a thousand years of mystery lives on, the festival operates programs utilizing content that inherits the forgotten history and culture of wild ginseng and simmani (wild ginseng diggers) to shed light on wild ginseng's meaning and historical value. Utilizing the clean forest product image of wild ginseng as the county's flagship brand, it expands sales outlets for local agricultural specialties and revitalizes the local economy through programs linked with forest, culture, and tourism resources. It is held annually around September to October. 1. Sales & Exhibition (Raw wild ginseng, processed wild ginseng products, agricultural & specialty product sales exhibition, and various market zones) 2. Experiences (Wild ginseng digging, wild ginseng auction, Find the Golden Wild Ginseng, health & anti-aging experiences, etc.) 3.
