About this event

[About the Performance] The third act of 'Han-Na Chang's Daejeon Grand Festival', a celebration of young musicians with outstanding talent and passion, begins. This year, under the theme 'Joy of Music', you can meet music as a companion of life that holds human joys and sorrows. Artistic Director Han-Na Chang, who has led this music festival for 3 years, presents a program that condenses the artistic achievements and musical philosophies built up over time to conclude this season. After seeking 'Be Yourself!' two years ago and portraying 'Immortal Beloved' last year, the Daejeon Grand Festival finally faces the joy music brings, marking the finale of its grand journey. Centered around the most remarkable young masters in classical music, look forward to the most brilliant lineup ever made of top local performers and the high-level stage they will show. In the first stage, the Opening Concert, a feast of concertos unfolds. Featuring cellist Zlatomir Fung, the youngest winner in history at the Tchaikovsky International Competition (2019) known for flawless technique and intellectual interpretation; pianist Julius Asal, a German rising star chosen by Deutsche Grammophon praised by critics for his dreamy tone; and 10-year-old genius violinist Chloe Chua, drawing attention beyond Asia to the world—the most trendy performers of this era join the passionate sound of the Korean National Symphony Concert Orchestra to draw even more attention. [PROGRAM] G. Rossini: William Tell Overture C. Saint-Saëns: Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33 (Vc. Zlatomir Fung) - Intermission - M. Ravel: Piano Concerto in G Major, M. 83 (Pf.
