The 'Hangang History Tour' program provides engaging guided tours and educational experiences along the Han River, allowing citizens and tourists to enjoy and share its scenic, historical, and cultural assets. It aims to promote everyday Han River history and culture through active, hands-on content. Participants walk along designated courses visiting riverside cultural heritage sites while listening to explanations from official Hangang commentators. A total of 16 courses are offered, covering the rich history connected to each location along the Han River. Course 1 (Gwangnaru Road): Theme - The Beginning of Gyeonggang and War / Main route: Pungnap Toseong Earthen Fortification – Lady Domi Statue – Gwangjin Bridge 8th Street – Gwangnaru Ferry Site Marker Course 2 (Songpanaru Road): Theme - Urban Formation and Development / Main route: Samjeondo Monument – Seokchon Lake – Songpanaru Marker – Seokchon-dong Ancient Tombs Course 3 (Ttukseomnaru Road): Theme - Founding of Joseon and Timber Gathering / Main route: Jeongwanwon – Majodan Altar – Salgoti Bridge – Jungnangcheon Stream – Gong's Bookstore Course 4 (Nodeulnaru Road): Theme - Loyalty and Filial Piety of Scholars / Main route: Hyosajeong Pavilion – Student Volunteer Army Memorial Monument – Hangang Grand Bridge – Jugyosa Marker – Yongyangbongjeojeong Pavilion – Sayuksin Park Course 5 (Dongjakjin Road): Theme - History of Auspicious Dongjakjin / Main route: Dongjaknaru Marker – Seoul National Cemetery (Main Gate - Memorial Tower - Patriotic Martyrs Burial Ground) Course 6 (Yeouinaru Road): Theme - Miracle on the Han River / Main route: National Assembly Building – Yeouido Park (Culture Plaza - Traditional Forest) – Yeouido Hangang Park Mulbit Square Course 7 (Seogangnaru Road): Theme - Transport of Tax Grain and Fish / Main route: Gwangheungchang – King Gongmin Shrine – Bamseom Bogundang Shrine – Seogangnaru Marker – Bamseom Park Course 8 (Yanghwanaru Road): Theme - Inflow of Foreign Culture / Main route: Foreign Missionary Cemetery – Yanghwajin Site – Jeoldusan Martyrs' Shrine – Yanghwanaru Marker Course 9 (Seonyudo Road): Theme - Hangang Development and Environment / Main route: Seonyudo Origin Marker – Seonyudo Park – Northwest Observation Deck Course 10 (Gongamnaru Road): Theme - Hangang Folklore and Heo Jun / Main route: Heo Jun Themed Street – Gongamnaru – Heogabawi Rock – Gwangjubawi Rock – Heo Jun Museum(*) 11 Course (Gyeomjae Jeong Seon Road): Theme - Jeong Seon's Hangang Paintings / Main route: Yangcheon Hyanggyo – Soangnu Pavilion – Gyeomjae Jeong Seon Art Museum(*) Course 12 (Nanji Flower Island Road): Theme - Nanjido Yesterday and Today / Main route: World Cup Stadium – Seongsan Stream – Peace Park – Nanji Hangang Park – Oil Tank Culture Park Course 13 (Hangang Centennial Bridge Road): Theme - Gyeongui Line Railway and Modern Hangang History / Main route: Yongsan History Museum – Hangang-daero and Hangang Grand Bridge – Hangang Railway Bridge – Saenamteo Catholic Church – Railway Quarters Course 14 (Donghonaru Road) *Formerly Gosanja Road: Theme - Famous Scenic Spot Donghonaru / Main route: Jungnangcheon Stream – Eungbongsan Mountain – Musoemak Site Marker – Ichon Hangang Park Course 15 (Maponaru Road): Theme - Faces of the Hangang Shaped by Mapo / Main route: Boksaggot Children's Park – Damdamjeong Site – Mapo Last Stop Origin Marker – Maponaru Sculpture – Tojeong Lee Ji-ham House Site – Jeong Gu-jung House Course 16 (Seobinggo Road): Theme - Storage and Distribution of Ice in Joseon / Main route: Seobinggo Marker – Seobinggo Bogundang Shrine – Hangang Art Park – Hangang Mansion – Geobukseon Ferry Site - Courses operate when 5 or more people register per session (Capacity: 5–15 people per session) - Exception: Yanghwanaru Road (visiting burial sites) requires a minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 participants - Admission fees and interior commentary are not supported for venues marked with an asterisk (*).
