About this event

The 22nd Hoengseong Hanwoo Festival is Korea's representative stay-over tourism festival held for 5 days from October 7 to 11, 2026, around the Seomgang Riverbank in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do. Operated under the slogan "Delicious, Staying, Shining" and the theme "Autumn to Stay, Hoengseong: City of Shining Flavors!", the festival aims to promote the excellence and brand competitiveness of Hoengseong Hanwoo nationwide while revitalizing the local economy, hosted and organized by the Hoengseong Cultural Tourism Foundation. The festival consists of 14 programs across 3 themes: Food, Culture & Arts, and Experiences. It operates as a time-expanded festival extending stay times by linking daytime (10:00~18:00) and nighttime (18:00~21:00) programs, acting as a win-win festival where local merchants, farmers, and residents participate together. 1. Main Programs - Hanwoo Music Festa: Popular singers and local arts groups performances, daily 19:00~21:00 Main Stage - Hanwoo Universe Fireworks Show: Large multimedia fireworks performance, Oct 7 & Oct 10 at 21:00 (2 shows) - Opening/Closing Ceremonies: Oct 7 (Opening), Oct 11 (Closing) 2. Side Programs - Hoengseong Hanwoo Grilling Area (3 locations): Operated by Livestock Cooperatives/NongHyup/Hanwoo Cooperatives, self-service dining style, ongoing - Hoengseong Hanwoo Meat Shop (3 locations): Sales of all beef cuts, ongoing - Hoengseong Taste Square Food Zone: Food booths with local business participation, ongoing - Hoengseong Local Farm Market: Direct market for agricultural specialties with local farm participation, ongoing
