[Event Introduction] "Plant specimen her funeral herbarium her-burial Plant her death" Hyehwa-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Here, where numerous bodies and lights have flickered on stage, the performance <Plant Her Death> asks how to summon vanished existences and how to overlap life and death, 'you' and 'I'. Wearing two bodies, 'I' perform an old funeral procedure and project images of plant specimens. Unnamed deaths, left-behind remains and white bones, postures in front of someone's grave, and memories of old songs are connected within a single funeral. Her/burial discovered in the word herbarium. Bury her. Her death resides inside the plant specimen. Plant, her, death. Plant her death. Plant her death. Thus 'I' begin writing an elegy for plants and white bones. An eulogy of a funeral performed through images and utterances, executing an endlessly incomplete mourning.
