[Synopsis] Attempt (1) Can we really talk about Hyehwa-dong without mentioning theater? We have a misunderstanding about Hyehwa-dong. That the only thing to talk about regarding Hyehwa-dong is theater. So we became curious about the stories Hyehwa-dong holds without theater. Attempt (2) What kind of neighborhood is Hyehwa-dong to you? We asked real people who are connected to Hyehwa-dong for different reasons and have different memories to share their stories of Hyehwa-dong. Person B, an employee at a medical device company who commutes to their office in Hyehwa-dong at 9 AM; Student Lee, who attends the 100-year-old Dongseong High School scheduled to relocate to Songpa-gu, Gangnam soon; the president of the Philippine Merchants Association who runs a business at the Philippine Street formed in front of Hyehwa-dong Catholic Church every Sunday; and Theater Director Kim, who still actively visits Hyehwa-dong. Regardless of whether their relationship with Hyehwa-dong is deep or shallow, or whether their stance is negative or positive, we asked for memories from people who have faced or are facing Hyehwa-dong a bit more frequently than we have. Attempt (3) So, what will happen to Hyehwa-dong in the future? As we bring out and examine their memories together, we discover the interesting aspects and unknown possibilities of 'Hyehwa-dong,' a neighborhood we had never thought deeply about before. Based on these discoveries, this time we bravely imagine Hyehwa-dong 20 years into the future and present it on stage! In all kinds of wild imaginations, Hyehwa-dong 20 years later could be a paradise overflowing with theaters for us who do theater, or conversely, a neighborhood where the stages we can stand on have completely vanished.
