Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Wonju Rooftop Film Festival is a non-competitive, free summer night film festival held on rooftops in Wonju. It was planned by local youth to provide opportunities to enjoy independent and art films in Wonju, where such screenings are scarce. With the goal of fostering local film communities and talent, the festival will screen and introduce works by directors from the province through the opening program 'Gangwon Short Film Selection.' Furthermore, the festival is planned with a focus on audience (citizen) activists — from reviewing and selecting candidate films to planning side programs, selecting spaces, and operating booths — giving it significance as a 'Community Cinema' centered on citizens. - Main Program: Gangwon Short Film Selection - Side Events and Programs: Rooftop Shorts / Rooftop Features / Audience of the Day / Artist Performances, etc.
