The Muan Red Clay Tidal Flat Festival is an eco-experience festival held at the UNESCO World Heritage Muan Tidal Flat under the theme "The Tidal Flat is Alive." It promotes the ecological value of the Muan Tidal Flat, Korea's first Wetland Protected Area, and the excellence of the red clay tidal flat, sharing the significance of human-nature coexistence through experiential and cultural events. The venue, Muan Red Clay Tidal Flat Land, is an eco-tourism destination where visitors can experience the tidal flat and sea up close, featuring eco-experience facilities and the Muan Tidal Flat Exploration Bridge, the country's longest 1.5 km wooden pedestrian bridge over the sea. During the festival period, various programs for families are offered, including eco-themed hands-on activities, cultural events, exhibitions, and performances. The festival aims to connect the conservation value of the World Heritage site with local ecological and cultural resources to boost sustainable eco-tourism and revitalize the local community. 1. Main Programs: Red Clay Tidal Flat Eel Catching, Goby Fishing, Water Bomb Water Play Area, Tidal Flat Exploration Bridge Walking Competition, etc. 2. Side Programs: Youth Drawing Contest, Red Clay Tidal Flat Town & Township Ssireum (Korean Wrestling) Tournament, and other competitions 3. Visitor Participation Programs: Marine Art Experiences (10 types), Tidal Flat Eco-Experiences (10 types), Ongoing Experiences (20 types), etc. 4.
