Started in 1998 in Daehangno under the name 'Independent Arts Festival', the Seoul Fringe Festival is an annual summer festival gathering theater, dance, music, performance, video, visual arts, exhibitions, and diverse artistic experiments that cannot be defined by a single genre. There is no judging of artists or selection of works. Believing that 'anyone can be an artist', it opens participation opportunities to everyone. It supports and encourages participants to express and attempt stories they want to tell, whether on stage, in a park, or in any space. Through the courage to reveal oneself, experiments crossing genre boundaries, and a process of sharing responsibility and respect, we create true artistic freedom. This year's slogan is 'That We Are Together', aiming to discover new ways of connection needed today. - Period: Aug 6–Aug 23 - Venue: Neoulneoul, Riri Land, Mijin Floor by Hwangchun Entertainment, Seobo Art Space, Studio MAS, Onsu Gonggan, Yuyoung Space, Armrest, Platform Dal - Main Program: Artist work presentations / Works by 115 teams including theater, dance, music, performance, video, visual arts, exhibitions, etc. - Age suitability from all ages to 19+, tickets ranging from free to 70,000 KRW as determined directly by the artists - Period: Aug 6–Aug 23 - Venue: 19 spaces independently discovered by artists suitable for their works - Main Program: Artist work presentations / Works by 21 teams including theater, dance, music, performance, video, visual arts, exhibitions, etc. - For detailed information, please refer to the Seoul Fringe Festival website - Period: Aug 15–Aug 16 - Venue: Seoul Theater Creation Center - Main Program: Relay work presentations by 14 teams - Age suitability from all ages to 18+ / Voluntary pay-what-you-wish system - Period: Aug 7–Aug 22, 21:00–23:00, closed every Monday - Venue: Cafe Sitzprobe 2F - Main Program: Themed talks following daily festival programs - Open to all visitors and free to access
