[Performance Introduction] A Korea-Japan-Macau music festival unfolding in Sinpo, where Western sounds first resonated in the history of the port opening! Incheon Sinpo, the port of opening where Western culture and new sounds crossed the sea. In this place, which was the gateway for new music, the music of Korea, Japan, and Macau meets again in September 2026. Sinpo-dong was, as the name suggests, a 'new port' through which new objects and culture entered across the sea. In the history of the port opening, Western sounds resonated here for the first time, and it is a place holding deep stories connected to the beginning of Korean popular music. SINPO INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL (SIMF) starts from the location and history of Sinpo. Just as seawater freely flowed in and out through the port, it is a festival where different cities, genres, and generations meet in one place through the borderless language of music. We intend to call back current new sounds to the alleys and streets of Sinpo, where new culture once began. The first SIMF features highly individual musicians representing Korea, Japan, and Macau. JOHNNY PANDORA, representing the Japanese rockabilly scene; the punk-pop band KiNGONS that runs forward without hesitation; Kubifuri Dolls, who unfold theatrical and raw stages; and AMULETS, crossing the sea from Macau, will visit Sinpo. From Korea, Garion, who has continued the history of hip-hop, along with STREETGUNS, DEFAULT., THE RESETERS, and dVID will take the stage, joined by DJs with their own musical colors to fill the day in Sinpo without a gap. Along with the music, you can enjoy craft beer from Incheon Brewery, Incheon's representative local brewery. A special day where the old history of the port opening, today's music, city people, and local culture mix together. A music festival of three countries—Korea, Japan, and Macau—unfolding in Sinpo, where Western sounds first resonated in the history of the port opening. On September 5, 2026, the first new wave of SIMF begins.
