Hosted against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage site Suwon Hwaseong Fortress since 2021, Suwon Hwaseong Media Art completed its initial series 'Mancheonmyeongweol: King Jeongjo's Dream Becomes Light' (2021–2025). In 2026, it debuts fresh planning under the theme 'New Light, Shared Joy: Suwon Hwaseong Fortress Blooms in Light'—'Welcoming guests with [New Light] and celebrating together with [Shared Joy] in Hwaseong's night.' This 18-day night festival presents mega-scale media art portraying stories of people through time from the construction of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress to the present. Featuring grand-scale media art combining light, video, and live performances near Hwaseomun Gate, alongside various interactive and responsive media art installations at Jangan Park, it offers abundant sights and experiences for tourists. 1. Hwaseomun Media Art: 3 times daily (19:30, 20:30, 21:30) / 35-minute performance 2. Jangan Park Plaza: Interactive media art responsive to audience, landscape illuminations utilizing trees, bubble lighting show, interactive playground, etc. 3. Janganmun Media Art: 360-degree immersive media art presentation 4. Side Programs: Regional collaboration programs (flea market) / Suwon Skewer Festa booth operations / Global IP pop-up store operations, etc.
