[About the Performance] "Mommal짓"'s new performance <Crossing Paths: Words Made Body, Misaligned Bodies> uses contact improvisation and improvised dance to express the limits of communication and disconnection in daily life. It visualizes through the physical movements of two dancers the dual nature of relationships—imperfect and prone to misunderstanding, twisting further the harder one tries to communicate. Within a unique structure where the audience itself becomes the subject of 'crossing paths' due to the seating layout, a long breath portrays the paradox of bodies that connect with order like a single entity, only to clash violently at other times. Through a dense 60-minute flow, the piece aims to bodily demonstrate the possibility of 'coexistence'—accepting and embracing the other as they are, despite experiencing difficulty and limits in communication.
