The World Heritage Festival is a cultural heritage festival hosted against the backdrop of UNESCO World Heritage sites across Korea, designed to modernly interpret and experience the universal value of shared human heritage. Organized by the Korea Heritage Service and executed by the Korea Heritage Agency, it offers diverse programs including performances, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, and academic seminars based on the history and significance of regional heritage sites. In its 7th edition, the [2026 World Heritage Festival] spans ancient civilization sites in the Gyeongsang and Jeolla regions ('Gaya Tumuli'), unique volcanic landscapes ('Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes'), and historic sites in Andong ('Sansa, Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea', 'Historic Villages of Korea', and 'Seowon, Korean Neo-Confucian Academies'). By breathing life into living history, the festival connects past heritage to 'today's enjoyment.' 1.
