About this event

The Goseong Pollack Festival is a local cultural festival that reinterprets the pollack culture, a historical and cultural asset of Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do, in a modern way. In 2026, it will operate three areas: 'Discovery of Pollack,' 'Discovery of Residents,' and 'Discovery of the Sea' against the backdrop of the beach in Geojin-eup 11-ri. Programs for eating, making, and enjoying pollack include the Pollack Gourmet Zone, Chef Live Cooking, self-cooking experiences, and pollack crafts and games. Local residents, artists, soldiers, and youth will directly participate in performances, the village broadcasting station, and the sale of food and props. Beach experiences such as catching live fish with bare hands, a sea playground, and Silence DJ can also be enjoyed. Through distributed stages, permanent programs, and shuttle operations, a stay-type festival site will be created where visitors can stay and enjoy no matter what time they visit. 1. Discovery of the Sea: Pollack Beach Bar, Sea Playground, catching live fish with bare hands, Navy vessel tour, AI Music Festival, beach walking, fire dancing, Silence DJ Convenience/Links: Shuttle between Geojin Port and the festival site, rest areas, information linked to Goseong-gun tourist attractions and the Geojin local commercial district
